"Shamoononon drives like a farmer" (shamoononon)

I just bought a new home. My living room, which gets a ton of light, is white and the celining has a tint of green.... so I'm painting it. Which color would you choose? Obviously one is darker than the other, I can't decide.

I'm painting the ceiling and off white color.

I like the darker one, but you have to be a fan of "cozy" spaces vs. clean and spacious spaces. I painted a couple rooms a very similar color, and am pleased with the results.

#1.
If it gets a lot of white, #2 will look too much like white, and it may even trick the eyes into thinking the ceiling is a different color (by contrast).

Go with a more creamy off-white that hints/whispers yellow. It will brighten any room, naturally draw the eye slightly upwards (giving a larger feel to the room), plus it's just happy.

If it gets lots of light, go for a darker, bolder color. Like green, or blue.

I like the open look of a lighter color. The darker in not bad, though. My ex sister in law, who has a lot of designer in her, always said paint the ceiling white with a 25% tint of the wall color. It does work.

You could use both (accent wall).
